Getting to Stampede Reservoir
Take Interstate 80 east from Truckee about 7 miles to Boca. At Boca along Interstate 80 turn north onto Stampede Dam Road (also called Stampede Meadows Road). Follow that road 9 miles north to Dog Valley Road, passing Boca Reservoir along the way. Turn left onto Dog Valley and follow it across the dam and on to the campsites and launch ramp (about 3 miles).
From Reno go west 26 miles on Interstate 80 to Boca and then follow the above directions.
